Ashton Kutcher Expecting To Come Back To ‘Two And A Half Men’

Ashton Kutcher’s deal with “Two and a Half Men” is wrapping up, but he expects to continue on in the comedy.

“I’m having a lot of fun doing the show, working with these guys and would be interested in coming back,” Ashton said on Wednesday at the Television Critics Association Winter Session in Pasadena on Wednesday.

The actor, who plays internet billionaire Walden Schmidt, said he’s been happy with the response from the fans to his joining the program after the departure of Charlie Sheen last year.

“The deal that we structured for the show is kind of a test deal, ‘Can we get the show up? Can we get it going?’ The show is outperforming the numbers from before I was here, and so I think people are responding to it, and, for me having a show that people like and people want more of, that’ll dictate my decision,” Ashton said.

The actor noted he has some films on his plate in the coming months, but is looking at them in a new way.

“I have a couple of features I think I’m gonna do in the summer, in the hiatus, and right now I’m looking at it as a ‘hiatus,’” he said

As for Charlie, he is returning to television with FX comedy, “Anger Management,” but when asked if there could ever be a reconciliation between “…Men’s” former star and its co-creator Chuck Lorre, the “…Men” boss offered his well wishes.

“I wish him well. I really do,” Chuck said. “I’m glad he’s sober and happy and healthy.”

And Chuck’s co-creator, Lee Aronsohn, insisted there wasn’t any bad blood – professionally speaking – between Chuck and Charlie.

“You’ve made it out to be that there was some sort of feud, between Charlie and Chuck on the set,” Lee said. “I never saw that, that was never the case. The differences that I’ve seen all came up after Charlie already left the show. Chuck has always been extremely respectful of Charlie in a working relationship and Charlie was extremely respectful of Chuck, so what’s been built up as a feud never really existed.”
