Ashton Kutcher Huddles Up With High School Football Team

Just call him Coach Kutcher.

Taking a break from his acting and producing ventures, Ashton Kutcher has lent his time to a Los Angeles-area high school as an assistant football coach.

Ashton has been working in that capacity for the freshman football team of LA’s Harvard-Westlake School, Access Hollywood has learned.

The move to the gridiron isn’t much of a stretch for the 30-year-old “Punk’d” king, as he reportedly used to play high school football while growing up in Iowa.

And as it turns out, it wasn’t Ashton’s celebrity status that got him the gig – he had to interview for the job just like anyone else.

“I asked him why he wanted to coach. He said he’s a dad, he has three daughters and none of them are into sports. He loves football and he said he’d always wanted to coach,” Harvard-Westlake Head of Athletics Audrius Bardzukas told People. “He’s put in the time to learn our scheme and systems, and so far he’s been a pleasant surprise as a coach.”

So far, so good for Coach Kutcher and his crew – they won their first game in a 21-12 victory.
