Audrina Patridge Exits ‘Hills,’ Inks Deal With Mark Burnett

Audrina Patridge is leaving “The Hills,” but the young star is not leaving the world of reality television.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Audrina will leave the popular MTV reality series following its upcoming fifth season for a new deal with Mark Burnett Productions, the reality show producer behind “The Apprentice” and “Survivor.”

Audrina’s new series will reportedly follow the star’s “personal and professional life.”

It will be shopped around to various networks next week.

“We are truly pleased to have the chance to work with Audrina,” Burnett told the entertainment trade mag. “She has already proved her star quality, and we can’t wait to show her fans worldwide the next stage of her life and career.”

With news that Audrina is exiting “The Hills,” along with Lauren Conrad’s recent announcement that she too will not be back for another season, does this mean the show’s days are numbered?

“We cannot confirm a sixth season at this time,” an MTV spokesperson told the mag. “However, ‘The Hills’ will continue as long as there are stories to tell, and as of now we don’t see an end in sight.”

“The Hills” returns on March 30 for its 10-episode fifth season on MTV.
