Authorities Release 911 Call That Lead To Charlie Sheen’s Arrest; Affidavit Details Alleged Fracas

Authorities in Aspen, Colorado, have released the Christmas day 911 call that lead to Charlie Sheen’s arrest.

In the nearly four-minute call, a woman who identified herself as Brooke, said her husband, whom she told the operator is Charlie Sheen, was in the bathroom after she alleged he threatened her with a knife.

“My husband had me… with um, with a knife and I’m in fear for my life and he threatened me,” she said during the call, parts of which are inaudible.

During the call, the woman insisted to the 911 operator it was important to file the report.

“Right now we have people that are separating us. But I have to file the report or else,” she said, later adding, “I need to file this.”

The woman, who at times sounded as if she was sobbing, told the 911 operator her husband was planning to leave following the alleged incident.

“He said he’s gonna run away and leave right now,” she said, adding later, “He’s trying to sneak out through the back right now.”

She described the alleged weapon as like a “switchblade in the back,” and claimed the item was in her husband’s “back pocket.”

Additionally, police released an arrest warrant affidavit on Monday over the alleged incident.

According to the affidavit, Sheen and his wife, Brooke Mueller, started arguing in the wee hours of Christmas Day – at around 3:30 AM, the Associated Press reported.

Mueller reportedly told Sheen she wanted a divorce and said she would get custody of their twin boys (who were born earlier this year), according to the affidavit.

Sheen “became very upset with this threat (of divorce) because of prior experiences,” the affidavit noted.

Mueller claimed to authorities that while the two were arguing, Sheen pinned her to a bed and put a knife to her throat, the AP reported. She also reportedly claimed that her husband said, “You better be in fear. If you tell anybody, I’ll kill you.”

Additionally Mueller claimed Sheen said, “Your mother’s money means nothing, I have ex-police I can hire who know how to get the job done and they won’t leave any trace,” according to the AP.

Sheen, however, denied to police that he choked or threatened his wife with a knife. He reportedly admitted to authorities that the couple is having problems in their marriage and he claimed Mueller abuses alcohol, the AP reported. Additionally, he claimed to authorities the two slapped each other on the arms and he broke a pair of Mueller’s glasses in front of her.

The AP reported no phone listing was available for Mueller and it was not immediately clear if she has a lawyer.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Sheen, whose real name is Carlos Estevez, was arrested on Christmas Day at approximately 11:20 AM on second-degree assault, menacing and criminal mischief.

“Carlos Irwin Estevez, also known as the actor Charles I. Sheen, was brought to the Pitkin County Colorado Jail for booking and incarceration following his arrest by the Aspen Police Department,” Pitkin County Sheriffs Office patrol director Jeff Lumsden said in a statement. “Estevez had been arrested for Second Degree Assault, a class four felony, Menacing, a class five felony and Criminal Mischief, a class one misdemeanor. All charges are coupled with a domestic violence component.”

He was released from jail on Friday night after posting $8,500 bond.

A rep for Sheen told Access Hollywood on Friday that people should wait for the facts to come out.

“Do not be mislead by appearance,” the rep said. “Appearance and reality can be as different as night and day. It would benefit everyone not to jump to any conclusion.”
