Jake Pavelka proposed to Vienna Girardi on Monday night’s episode of “The Bachelor: On The Wings Of Love,” and even though the episode was filmed several months ago, the reality star told Access Hollywood on Monday morning, he is still very, very much in love.
“The passion is just crazy,” Jake told Access. “It’s just fun. There’s always puppy love in a new relationship and that’s really where you build a lot of this – you solidify a lot of the next 60 years [of life together]…. I’ve never had puppy love like that. I mean, I just can’t keep myself off of her.”
And Vienna, who beat out 50 other women to snare the pilot’s heart, said they plan to be together for a lifetime, even if she wasn’t the AH Nation’s favorite. Nearly 80% of the AH Nation wanted Jake to pick Tenley Molzahn.
“The Internet viewers aren’t the ones that have to live with this decision,” Vienna said. “Jake and I are extremely happy. We’re in love and we’re the ones spending the next 60 years together, not them.”
The two revealed that they saw each other during the months leading up to the finale through a host of tricky techniques.
“Separate cars, different cities, stuff like that,” Jake laughed.
“My dad moved my car around in the driveway so they didn’t know if I was home or not,” Vienna added.
The two are planning to get married, but not right away.
“We’ve talked about wedding details and we’re thinking maybe a year or two. We want to have a normal relationship for a while, you know, have fun together,” Vienna explained. “We want to travel and he’s got ‘Dancing with the Stars’ coming up and we’re moving to LA for a few months and then going back to Dallas… And I need plenty of time to plan a wedding.”
As for “Dancing with the Stars,” which will find Jake competing against Bengals’ star Chad Ochocinco, former “Baywatch” babe Pamela Anderson and reality TV mom Kate Gosselin, the ex “Bachelor” is ready to take on the challenge.
“I’m not a professionally trained dancer. I’ve got some basic moves that I can do, but nothing impressive and I’m just going to pour everything I am into it to be the best dancer I can possibly be,” he said.
