‘Bachelorette’ Ali Fedotowsky & Roberto Martinez On Their ‘Selective’ Guest List: We Don’t Want To Meet People ‘For The First Time’ At Our Wedding

Former “Bachelorette” Ali Fedotowsky and her fiancé, Roberto Martinez, are getting closer to becoming man and wife.

“We’re just talking about what the different options are and taking one step at a time,” Roberto, who won Ali’s heart on the fifth season of “The Bachelorette,” told Access Hollywood of the engaged couple’s marriage plans, at SVEDKA’s Night of a Billion Reality Stars Gala in Los Angeles on Thursday. “But I think things are going to start moving pretty fast here shortly, so I’m sure we’ll keep you guys up to date.”

Speaking of dates, the reality pair remained tight-lipped about the actual date of their impending nuptials, but hinted that the big day has been chosen.

“We might know, but we’re not telling anybody else,” Ali told Access, laughing.

One chore the duo can cross off their “to-do” list is choosing who will make up Ali’s bridal party – although the former “Bachelorette” admitted she and her fiancé are facing criticism for their private guest list.

“We sat down and we made a list [for the bridal party],” Ali told Access. “A lot of people in the last couple days have been like, ‘Oh my gosh – I read that you’re not letting plus ones come to your wedding! Oh my gosh!’ And I’m like, ‘Well, I don’t want to meet people for the first time at my wedding unless it’s his family or something.

“So, you know, we are being selective,” she added.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, Ali stopped by Access Hollywood Live in September and dished on whether her wedding to her “Bachelorette” beau would be televised in order to help foot the bill.

“I think a lot of people who followed our story are willing to sort of help us with the wedding,” Ali revealed to Billy Bush and Kit Hoover at the time. “So I think I would be able to get all of that and not necessarily have to do it on TV.”

But there is one thing Ali has already made up her mind about – changing her last name.

“Are you dropping the Fedotowsky?” Billy asked.

“Are you kidding me?!?” Ali laughed. “I’ve been waiting my whole life to drop the Fedotowsky.”
