Bada Bing! ‘Idol’ Judges Take Their Seats In New Jersey

It was a big day for Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, who took their seats behind the “American Idol” judges table for the first time on Tuesday.

Executive Producer Nigel Lythgoe — who is back at the “Idol” helm — Tweeted a photo of his panel in action: the Aerosmith singer, the singer/actress and “Idol” alumnus Randy Jackson, and noted he was thrilled to be a part of the franchise as it continues filming for its 10th season.

The judges filmed in New Jersey, where Nigel said the weather was making auditions a bit more dramatic.

“Very damp and gray here in New Jersey. Good luck to everyone auditioning today. Make sure you bring the ‘sunshine,’” he wrote.

Interestingly, based on the photo, the dog pound has been upgraded. Randy is now sitting in the judges’ chair previously occupied by Simon Cowell.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, after months of speculation, the “Idol” judges panel was officially announced last week.

“I’ve been watching American Idol since the very first season,” Jennifer previously Tweeted about coming on board the “Idol” team. “I’m so excited to see the incredible talent that Season 10 will bring!”
