The first trailer for “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice” has leaked and fans appear to be having mixed reactions.

“Is it really surprising that the most powerful man in the world should be a figure of controversy?” a voice asks in the trailer, which has Portuguese subtitles and was slated to debut on Monday.
Henry Cavill’s Clark Kent/Superman is seen in a slew of various shots as numerous voices ask questions about the caped hero.

“We as a population on this planet have been looking for a savior,” “Human beings have a horrible track record of following people with great power,” “Maybe he’s just a guy trying to do the right thing,” followed by, “We know better now, don’t we? Devils don’t come from hell. They come from the sky.”
Holly Hunter’s character, a senator, then says, “The world has been so caught up with what he can do that no one has asked what he should do.”
This is followed by a shot of a statue of Superman with the words “False God” scrawled across his chest.

Enter the voice of Batman’s Alfred, played by Jeremy Irons, who utters, “That’s how it starts, the feeling, the powerlessness that turns good men cruel.”
A new and improved Batman, played by Ben Affleck, then appears in an armored Batsuit and confronts Superman.
“Tell me, do you bleed?” Batman asks Superman. “You will.”

Gal Gadot’s Wonder Woman, Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor and Jason Momoa’s Aquaman are not seen in the leaked trailer.
