Rapper Meek Mill Given 3 Months House Arrest For Parole Violation

Rapper Meek Mill must serve three months of house arrest for parole violations that he blames on his erratic concert schedule but Philadelphia prosecutors link to his romance with Nicki Minaj.

Common Pleas Judge Genece Brinkley also ordered him to spend six more years on probation.

Mill cannot work during the three-month period and can leave home only to do community service with groups serving adults, not young people.

The judge has kept tight reins on the 28-year-old Mill, whose real name is Robert Williams, after giving him a break in a 2009 drug and gun case. She has once sent him back to jail.

Prosecutors say the violations include unapproved travel to New York for a concert and efforts to join Minaj in various cities.

Mill has alternately complained about probation and credited the judge with helping him succeed.
