‘Beauty And The Beast’ Returning To Big Screen With Director Bill Condon

“The tale as old as time” will be told again, as Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” is returning to the big screen as a live action film.

According to Variety, director Bill Condon (who directed “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 1 & 2” and “Dreamgirls”) will helm the live version of the Oscar nominated animated movie, which also became a hit stage musical.

Casting for the project has not been announced.

Live action versions of “Cinderella” (directed by Kenneth Branagh) and “The Jungle Book” (directed by Jon Faveau) are also in the works at Disney.
