My pick for best dressed star of the year is… Jennifer Lawrence!
The “Hunger Games” star kicked off 2013 in red Dior at the Golden Globes and she’s been wowing us ever since.
At the Oscars, she accepted her Best Actress Award for “Silver Linings Playbook” in a big, dramatic pink Dior ball gown. That dress screams “I am here!” It’s hard to go unnoticed in that! I thought it was gorgeous and even when she tripped on her way to the stage, she kept it together and still looked pretty and poised!
Jen is the face of Dior, so naturally, the luxury brand has dominated her designer wardrobe. The global press tour for “The Hunger Games: Catching Fire” was practically Jen’s own private runway as she wore one fabulous outfit after another… Bam! Bam! Bam!
She always looks both appropriate for the occasion and age appropriate with her choices. I would describe her look as ladylike with a youthful edge. She’s never too trendy and while she may go for a sheer look now and then, in general, she doesn’t show a lot of skin, like many other overexposed young stars.
The highlight for me though is Jen’s pixie. It’s so fresh and spunky and unexpected. I think it shows off her fun and sassy personality, more than any ensemble could ever do.
Here’s to seeing what Jen wears when she hits the red carpet for award show season in 2014!
