Best Super Bowl Commercials: Our 6 Favorites

Super Bowl XLVIII might have lacked the thrills compared to past games, but the commercials were not lacking when it came to excitement, familiars faces and emotions… it’s OK to admit you got a little misty eyed!

Here are some of our favorite Super Bowl ads:

Radio Shack, “The Phone Call”: It was a serious Throwback Thursday – ‘80s style – with appearances from Hulk Hogan, Mary Lou Retton, Dee Snider, Kid ‘n Play, John Ratzenberger, Chucky, Alf, and the California Raisins in a spot announcing the store’s makeover.

Cheerios, “Gracie”: Could this spot for the cereal with a daughter and her dad be more adorable? We think not!

Budweiser’s “Puppy Love”: You had us at “puppy befriends a horse.”

Coca-Cola’s “America the Beautiful”: Kudos to the soda company for reminding everyone (despite the backlash after this spot aired) just how diverse America is… did you catch Coke’s first ever same sex couple in a Super Bowl ad moment?

Movie Trailer Blitz: How could we not be thrilled by spots for “Transformers: Age of Extinction,” “The Amazing Spider-Man 2” and “Captain America: The Winter Solider.” We can’t buy our tickets fast enough!
