Bids For Girls Star Lena Dunham’s Upcoming Book Reach $3.7 Million (Report)

As if three Emmy nominations weren’t proof enough that Lena Dunham is quickly becoming a hot Hollywood commodity, the “Girls” creator/star is now the subject of a publisher bidding war.

The actress is set to pen a book of essays and bidding for the book has reached $3.7 million, with five publishers vying for Lena’s material, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

The hefty payday nears the $5 million comedy superstar Tina Fey received for her 2011 best seller, “Bossypants.”

Lena’s proposed book (tentatively titled, “Not That Kind of Girl: Advice by Lena Dunham”) will feature essays about various topics ranging from friendship, sex and dating, to eating disorders and her fascination with death, THR reported.

Lena is expected to choose a publisher early next week.
