Billy Ray Cyrus & Tish Cyrus To Divorce

Nearly three years after Billy Ray Cyrus filed for divorce from Tish Cyrus before reconciling seven months later, Tish has filed papers to end their marriage.

“This is a personal matter and we are doing what is in the best interest of our family,” a rep for Billy Ray said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “We ask that you respect our privacy at this time.”

According to court papers obatined by Access, Tish has requested primary physical and legal custody of the couple’s daughter, Noah, 13.

Billy Ray and Tish, who have been married for 19 years, have three biological children together: Noah, Braison Chance, 19, and Miley, 20. Tish also has two children from a previous relationship (Trace, 24 and Brandi, 26) both of whom were adopted by Billy Ray.

Billy Ray recently opened up about the couple’s near divorce in 2010 and why they called it off.

In a visit to Access Hollywood Live last September, the country singer revealed marital problems were the inspiration behind his ballad, “That’s What Daddys Do.”

“[It] was pretty much a year-and-a-half ago or so [when there was] a lot of controversy in my life and things just kinda felt like they were all falling apart – especially in my family,” he explained to Billy Bush and Kit Hoover at the time, of how he came to write the song. “I said, ‘You know what? You’ve just gotta go put everything back together, Cyrus. You’re the dad. That’s what daddys do.’ And the song just came to me in that moment.”
