Blake Shelton’s Surprising (& Hilarious!) Rihanna Revelation

Rihanna will lend her expertise to all four coaches on Season 9 of “The Voice,” and no one is more excited about RiRi’s arrival than Blake Shelton!

“I was amazed by Rihanna. She is so funny… and she’s crazy about me,” Blake told Access Hollywood’s Liz Hernandez in a new interview, along with fellow coach Pharrell Williams, to promote Season 9 (which kicks off September 21 on NBC).

“We’ll probably end up hooking up at some point,” Blake smiled. “I’m just saying.”

OK, but Blake is obviously also revved up about the musical talent Rihanna brings to the table, as well. Right?

“Do you see a collaboration maybe?” Liz asked.

“I see a collaboration – maybe not musically. You know what I’m saying?” the country superstar laughed.

Alright, alright, all jokes aside, after a turbulent summer off the set – with Blake’s divorce from Miranda Lambert, along with Gwen Stefani’s split from Gavin Rossdale – the coaches have learned to lean on each other in good times and bad.

“I think the coaches spend more time with each other than we do our kids sometimes. Because we do so much stuff like this. Everyday there’s something. I mean, we’ve become family,” Blake noted.

“He’s like a big bro,” Pharrell added, of his country counterpart. “That’s what I call him, by the way. I don’t think I call you Blake, right?”

“No, big bro,” Blake confirmed in jest. “I love you too little bro – you’re my boo.”
