Bobbi Kristina Brown: ‘I Am Doing Better Than I Ever Thought I Would’

Bobbi Kristina Brown, the 19-year-old daughter of the late Whitney Houston, stepped out on Monday night for the premiere party of the her new reality show and told Access Hollywood she’s coping with the death of her mother in ways she never thought possible.

“I’m doing okay, I’m doing pretty good. I am doing better than I ever thought I would,” she told Access at the premiere party for Lifetime’s “The Houstons: On Our Own” in New York City. “Definitely better than I thought I would.”

Whitney might have died in in February, but Bobbi Kristina still feels her presence in her life.

“What gives me the strength is my family and knowing that she is watching down on us,” she told Access. “Watching down and applauding and being happy and smiling and rejoicing, as well as we are, of her life and her legacy.”

Adding, “She was an angel. She was an amazing, amazing person. Whoever met her, was attached to her from the beginning, the start… at the very first sight, you’re just attached to her. She was an angel on Earth.”

And what about the rumors that Bobbi Kristina is engaged to her adopted brother, Nick Gordon, which was teased in a recent promo for the Houston family’s new reality show?

“That’s a surprise, so yeah” she told Access when asked about their rumored engagement.

“We’ll let the viewers watch,” Nick, 22, who accompanied the 19-year-old on the red carpet, told Access.

“Watch and see,” she added.

“The Houstons: On Our Own” premieres on October 24 at 9/8c on Lifetime.
