Bonnie Somerville Calls For ‘Prayers And Love’ For Shooting Victim

Actress Bonnie Somerville has expressed her gratitude to the friends and fans that offered her their concern after the star was robbed at gunpoint over the weekend.

“I first want to thank everyone for their overwhelming support during this time,” Somerville said in a statement to Access Hollywood.

, Somerville, a former “Friends” guest star (she played Ross’ girlfriend in Season 8), and a male pal were leaving the T-Mobile G1 launch party at Siren Studios in Hollywood on Friday when they were held up at gunpoint.

“As you know, while we were walking to our car on Sunset Blvd. early Saturday morning, we were robbed at gunpoint,” Somerville’s statement continued. “As this is still under police investigation, I can’t say anything more.”

Somerville had her purse stolen while her companion, who she revealed was former “Lonelygirl 15” actor Burke Stuart, was shot and taken to an area hospital following the incident. She asked the public to send him good wishes as he recovers.

“My friend, Burke Stuart, was shot during this incident and is in stable condition,” Somerville added. “Please send your prayers and love to Burke and his family at this time.”

On Saturday, a rep for the actress said she was doing fine following the incident.

Prior to the shooting, Somerville had been attending the T-Mobile party, alongside a host of other celebrities, including Christina Milian, Mischa Barton, Brittany Snow, Brea Grant and “90210’s” Ryan Eggold and Adam Gregory.
