Amber Holcomb got the boot on “American Idol” on Thursday, but the singer is already planning her future endeavors.
“I most definitely [want to act],” Amber told AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman after the show. “I want to be in movies, TV shows, runway [modeling], all of it.”
The 18-year-old singer became very emotional onstage after learning she’d been cut from the show’s Final 4, but the bad news was tempered with a pep talk from the judges.

“They were really encouraging,” she said. “They were just like, ‘It’s not the end, keep going. This is only like the beginning.’ All positive things.”
Amber also delivered a message to the fans who have supported her throughout her “Idol” journey.
“Thank you so much, you guys! The top 4 — that is amazing,” she said, when she’d say to the viewers who have voted for her. “[This is] the biggest accomplishment so far in my life. So, thank you guys.”
“American Idol” continues with the Top 3 (Angie Miller, Candice Glover and Kree Harrison) competing for the title on Wednesday at 8/7c on Fox.
