Brad Pitt Talks Leaving Acting In ‘Three Years’ & Possibility Of More Kids With Angelina Jolie

Don’t expect to see Brad Pitt on the big screen for too much longer.

According to the superstar, he’s planning an exit from his leading man status in just a few years.

The 47-year-old actor might be at the top of his game, but he revealed in a new interview with Australia’s “60 Minutes” that he could be headed behind the camera.

“Three years,” Brad said when asked how long he’d like to continue with acting.

“I am really enjoying the producing side and development of stories and putting those pieces together. And getting stories to the plate that might have had a tougher time otherwise,” the “Moneyball” star explained.

Brad’s latest – a baseball drama about Oakland A’s general manager Billy Beane – is already getting early Oscar buzz. The movie is a project he pursued and helped get to the big screen.

With an acting retirement looming, will Brad continue to expand his family (which includes Maddox, 10, Pax, 7, Zahara, 6, Shiloh, 5, and Vivienne and Knox, 3) with Angelina Jolie?

“I don’t know that we’re finished,” he revealed. “I don’t know yet. I don’t know.”

Brad says his six children have influenced the projects he takes and the actor hopes his kids will look back proudly on his body of work.

“When they’re adults I want it to mean something to them,” he said of his films. “I want them to think, ‘Dad’s alright.’ It changes everything. Everything. And it’s so damn interesting.”

The actor also opened up about his concerns he has for the Brangelina kids growing up in the spotlight.

“Their idea is that when they go out beyond the gate – because we have to live behind a gate – there’s people standing there in line with cameras that try and take your picture. Their idea is everyone has to deal with that,” he explained. “I worry. It’s the only thing I get hot about, I’m ready to… fight about. But on the other hand you know, it’s a trade-off, like anything. There’s a great trade-off. And we, these guys, I’m so happy for them, because they get to see the world. And their lives are so enriched by it.”

Adding, “It is true that a couple of ours do not like it. You know, they don’t like it and I’m sure that will color them in some interesting way.”
