Bristol Palin Fired Up For ‘Dancing,’ Addresses Romance Rumors

Bristol Palin may have bottomed out on last week’s “Dancing with the Stars,” landing in last place on the leaderboard, but with her ballroom flame reignited, she’s ready for Monday’s competition show.

“I feel like I’ve gone a lot harder in rehearsals and stuff,” Bristol told Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos during a recent rehearsal session. “I feel though like this is our second chance, like we got a break last week and now or never – [it’s] like our time.”

Bristol’s partner, Mark Ballas, said they would even like to try for the mirrorball, which if they managed to win, would be Mark’s third.

“We’re going to try,” he said. “I’m going for the third mirrorball… If I get close to it then, you know, I’m definitely going to go for it, but [we’ve] got a ways to go yet.”

Mark also thinks his best friend, Derek Hough, who this season is dancing with Jennifer Grey, stands a very good chance at taking the title, which could be Derek’s third mirrorball.

“I think Derek’s got a strong shot at getting his third mirrorball,” Mark said of the race among pros for the third illustrious trophy (also in the running is Cheryl Burke). “He’s got a good shot at it.”

If things don’t work out for Bristol and Mark in the competition, she already knows what she’s going to miss most.

“I’m definitely going to miss Mark,” Bristol told Maria. “I’m going to miss learning these new steps and just improving as a dancer.”

While she will miss Mark, the pair shot down rumors that there was more than a teacher-student relationship between them.

“That’s funny,” Bristol said when Maria mentioned the rumors that the two are dating.

“Nope, [I’m] just [being] coached,” she said. “Sorry.”

“Nope,” Mark added. “Afraid not.”
