Bristol Palin: This Pregnancy Was ‘Planned,’ ‘Deal With It’

Bristol Palin has clarified the circumstances surrounding her current pregnancy.

In a new post on her personal blog, the 24-year-old daughter of Sarah Palin said she got pregnant on purpose.

“So here are the things you should all get straight before you continue to mock me, judge me, and talk about me. None of us are perfect. I made a mistake, but it’s not the mistake all these giddy a$$holes have loved to assume,” she wrote in the post titled, “My Little Blessing,” which included a sonogram photo. “This pregnancy was actually planned.”

Bristol – whose engagement to Dakota Meyer recently ended – said in her original announcement that her pregnancy was “a huge disappointment” to her family. But in her new post on Sunday, the “Dancing with the Stars” alum said “everyone” knew she wanted to have another child.

“Everyone knows I wanted more kids, to have a bigger family. Believing I was heading that way, I got ahead of myself,” she wrote. “Things didn’t go as planned, but life keeps going. Life moves on.”

She also hit back at critics who refer to her as an “abstinence advocate,” saying she’s only ever stood for “life.”

“When I realized I was pregnant, I knew I would be completely crucified. But I never even thought of aborting this child, NO MATTER WHAT THE CIRCUMSTANCE. (Sorry to the ghouls at Gawker, who said this baby is an argument FOR abortion. Not happening.),” she wrote. “I am pregnant. This is not the ideal situation, but life is important even if it’s not in the most absolute ideal circumstance.”

Adding, “This is more confirmation on what I’ve always stood for. I’ve always been pro-life and I am standing for life now. Deal with it.”
