Britney Fan Talks Jumping On Stage: ‘I’d Do It Again’

Britney Spears was alarmed when a fan jumped up on stage on Saturday night during her concert in Connecticut.

But Kyle King, the 20-year-old fan who was arrested after making his way onto the stage at the Mohegan Sun venue, told Access Hollywood he meant no harm to the superstar.

In fact, King said he was a bit alarmed by Britney once the two came face-to-face.

“She freaked me out because she was so scared,” King told Access on Monday. “She acted like I was going to hurt her or something.”

King spent a brief moment dancing on stage near Britney during the “Womanizer” encore before he was quickly removed by one of her dancers. But even after King was removed from the stage, Britney stood frozen in place for a few seconds before cautiously finishing the set.

While King was on stage, video clips showed Britney frantically waving her hands asking King not to come near her. However, her cries for help weren’t picked up by her microphone, most likely because it was turned off while she was lip synching.

But King was close enough to hear what the scared star was saying.

“I think it was kind of screaming, ‘Oh my god! Oh my god!’” King noted.

Although King was arrested and cited with a single breach of peace charge, he set the record straight about what happened after he was removed from the stage and his condition at the time of the incident.

“I was arrested. I was taken downstairs to a holding cell at the concert, but I didn’t actually go to a jail,” King explained. “As far as me being drunk, I wasn’t drunk at all. They didn’t even ask me if I was drunk because I obviously wasn’t and was completely cooperative.”

He was released after posting the $250 bond – and said if given the chance, he wouldn’t do anything differently.

“It’s really not that big of a deal. I think it’s being blown out of proportion,” King told Access. “Do I regret it? Not at all. I’d do it again.”
