Britney Planning A Family Holiday At Home

Britney Spears has been on a whirlwind trip promoting her new album, “Circus,” but the pop star said she plans to spend the upcoming holidays at home with her family.

Brit ended her week in Los Angeles on stage at the “Light of the Angels” Holiday Tree Lighting Ceremony at L.A. Live, where she joined Natalie Cole and host Adam Carolla.

When asked by Adam what she had in store for the upcoming holidays, the 27-year-old said she’s planning on a traditional celebration.

“It’s family time… do the tree thing. The family comes over. It’s fun,” she said.

Brit and Adam joined Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa in lighting the holiday tree in the middle of the L.A. Live plaza.

Her Los Angeles appearance marks Brit’s second holiday event of the week. On Tuesday, she taped an appearance for NBC’s Rockefeller Center Christmas tree-lighting ceremony, which aired Wednesday night.

Her jam-packed week of performances, appearances, and celebrations included the release of her new album, “Circus,” which dropped on Tuesday and is poised to land at the top of the music charts next week. The pop star also performed on “Good Morning America” on Tuesday, followed by a star-studded birthday party in New York City at Tenjune with guests that included Lance Bass, Heidi Klum, Ciara, Jeremy Piven, Will.i.Am, and Russell Simmons.
