Britney Spears Having A ‘Blast’ On Sitcom Set

Britney Spears’ turn as a sitcom guest star could not have gone better, according to the pop princess.

“Working at ‘How I Met Your Mother’ has been so terrific,” Britney said in a statement to Access Hollywood. “Everyone, including the cast, the crew and the producers, has been wonderful.”

Not only has Britney been enjoying her co-workers, but also the role she plays on the CBS show.

“Abby is such a fun girl to play. I’m having a blast!” Britney added.

Her “How I Met Your Mother” co-stars have also enjoyed having the pop star on set. Josh Radnor, who plays Ted, the object of Britney’s character’s affection in the episode told People, “It pains me to report that on the first day of the shoot, Britney knew her lines better than I knew mine. She’s been great to work with.”

It appears, Britney’s early TV training on Disney’s “MMC” is still paying off.

“She has a good sense of comedy, and has interesting choices,” Neil Patrick Harris, who plays Barney on the show, told People. “It wasn’t like she has just been told to stand up there and deliver those lines. I was really surprised by that. She’s really funny!”

Neil, who will be working with Britney today when she returns for a second day of shooting, added, “She seems to be doing very well … No strange accents. She seemed comfortable.”

Britney appeared in an episode of “Will & Grace,” in 2006 and headlined the feature film, “Crossroads,” in 2002.
