Britney Spears To Tour Australia For The First Time

Britney Spears is taking her “Circus” tour down under for the first time.

The pop princess will take her current tour to Australia this November, the first time she’ll tour the country in her career.

“I’ve wanted to tour Australia for quite some time,” Britney said in a statement. “My Circus tour is the best show I have ever created and I can’t wait to perform it.”

Britney has six dates lined up on her Australian tour, which kicks off at the Perth Burswood Dome on November 6. It includes two nights at Melbourne’s Rod Laver Arena on November 11 and 12, and two dates at Sydney’s Acer Arena November 19 and 20. She will wrap up the jaunt on November 24 at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre.

Britney’s Australian tour leg is expected to be similar to her recent U.S. and U.K. dates. It will feature 50 performers including acrobats, a fire breather, a stilt walker, magicians and a dance team, the Melbourne Herald Sun reported.

Steve Dixon, the tour’s producer, told the newspaper the event will be entertaining.

“People are there for the spectacle that is Britney Spears. She’s a great performer,” he said. “She’s every bit as good as any pro dancer. It is a big, giant music event.”
