Brooke Burke-Charvet Talks Aging Gracefully: ‘I Don’t Want To Look Like A Pumpkin’

Brooke Burke-Charvet is healthy after a scary bout with thyroid cancer, and the “Dancing with the Stars” co-host says she’s not as concerned about aging as she once was.

“The 40s are a reality check,” Brooke, 41, tells Health magazine in an interview for their April issue. “I would like to slow down my aging process, but I don’t want to look like a pumpkin, all swollen!”

The “Dancing” beauty and her longtime beau, former “Baywatch” star David Charvet, tied the knot in 2011 and Brooke said she’s cherishing where she’s at in life, including her age.

“You have to embrace Mother Nature a little,” she told the mag. “I’m a woman. I’m a wife. I’m a mother of four. I don’t want to look like a 25-year-old anymore. I want to be my best healthy self.”

Brooke also opened up about co-hosting “DWTS” with Tom Bergeron and admitted she does favor some contestants over others on the ABC reality dancing competition.

“I try to remain neutral [on the show], but I get emotionally connected to a few contestants. Rob Kardashian was one,” she said. “When he started he had no confidence, then he learned to dance and became this stud.”

Adding, “It’s amazing to see people face their fears and transform themselves.”
