Brooke Shields Offers Support To Britney Spears

Brooke Shields, who suffered from postpartum depression, is speaking out on Britney Spears? recent behavior and is offering her support in a new interview with Access Hollywood.

According to reports, Spears has been reading Shields? book “Down Came the Rain,” which discusses her experience with postpartum depression after the birth of her first daughter, Rowan Francis.

?If she?s reading my book, I hope it?s helping her. If it?s not and she wants to talk to someone, I?m available,” Shields told Access at an event in New York last night.

When asked if she thought Spears is suffering from postpartum depression, Shields emphasized the pressure of the media spotlight on Spears? life.

?She’s followed every moment of her life and she’s documented every minute of her life?If I had been when I was going through postpartum, you probably would have more to talk about? So if that is in fact the case, I don’t doubt it,” Shields noted.

She also told Access that if Britney is suffering from postpartum ?then it really needs to be reckoned with and it’s very common and she’ll get through it.?

Shields added, ?I hope she’s fine, but I believe she’s going to be fine and she just needs the support and her kids, she’s their only mom and she’ll earn that back in her own mind.?

Shields and her husband Chris Henchy have two daughters together; Rowan Francis, 3, and 10-month-old Grier Hammond.

Britney gave birth to her second son, Jayden James, last September.
