Calista Flockhart Admits She Once Thought The Millennium Falcon Was A Commercial Airline

When Harrison Ford was injured on the “Star Wars”
set after falling off of the Millennium Falcon
in 2014, his wife Calista Flockhart was
unfamiliar with the famed intergalactic freighter.

She can laugh about it now of course, as Harrison has
recovered from the injury (he broke his leg in the incident), but at the time,
her confusion over the big screen ship’s name added to her worries.

On Thursday’s “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” Calista
recounted the story to Jimmy Kimmel.

“The producer called me and she said, ‘Hi Calista, I
have some bad news, Harrison has been hurt. He had an accident. He was standing
on a Millennium Falcon and… the door fell.’… And I thought that he was on some
commercial airline and the door fell off and he flew out of the airplane,”
she said, a reveal that had the host and audience chuckling away.

Calista said she turned to a friend following the incident
to get more information.

“And I called a friend of mine and I said, ‘What the
hell is the Millennium Falcon? I have never heard of that airline!'” she
said.

Jimmy asked the “Supergirl” star if she has seen
any of the “Star Wars” films.

“I have now,” the actress responded, adding that
she grew up in a “small town” without a movie theater.

In her appearance on the show, Calista also revealed Harrison is learning
a new skill.

“He’s learning how to text,” she said.

“He’s getting better,” she added.

Asked if Harrison has started using emojis yet, Calista said
that her husband is still figuring that part out.

“He said, ‘Where’d you get that picture from?'”
she recounted.
