Cameron Diaz On Her New Love Life, Old Flames & Childhood Crush

Cameron Diaz is setting the record straight on her love life.

Though the star’s been linked to New York Yankees slugger Alex Rodriguez in recent months, she told Playboy in the mag’s July issue that she doesn’t have a boyfriend.

“No, no, no. I’ve been in relationships since I was 16 years old. In the past three years, I’ve made a conscious decision not to be in a relationship for as long as I want,” Cameron explained to the mag. “I’ve stayed away from all the trips out there for me to just fall into something that will potentially lead me down the same road. I love being a woman to a man, but I want to have a relationship with myself right now.”

She added that she could enjoy being a woman to a woman – but wouldn’t call herself a lesbian.

“Sexuality and love can be different things. I can be attracted to a woman sexually, but it doesn’t mean I want to be in love with a woman,” she said. “If I’m going to be with a woman sexually, that doesn’t mean I’m a lesbian. We put these restraints and definitions on people, but it’s hard to define.”

Still, Cameron’s best known for her romances with men – including ex Justin Timberlake, who recently joined her to film “Bad Teacher,” three years after their split.

“We’re adults. Of course we could work together,” she said. “I wanted the best person for the job, and Justin’s perfect… We’re friends; he’s really talented and funny, and he killed it, he’s so hilarious.”

Cameron, who’s starred opposite funnymen from Jim Carrey to Ben Stiller, knows a thing or two about comedy skills – and in another upcoming film, “Green Hornet,” she’ll add Seth Rogen to her list of laugh-getting leading men.

“I might have seen Seth high but didn’t completely know it,” Cameron laughed of her “green” experience on the set. “I went to a party one night where I think there was some stoneage. People were definitely pretty baked, but I didn’t partake with him at that time. He might have been high the entire time, for all I know.”

While she talked about her “Hornet” co-star’s off-screen recreational habits, she also revealed some of her own — at least, during her younger years, with another Hollywood heavyweight who went to the same high school as Cameron.

“Snoop [Dogg] was a year older than me. He stood out. He was tall and skinny and wore ponytails all over his head,” she said of the rapper. “I’m sure I probably bought weed from him.”

While Cameron’s had her pick of Hollywood’s hottest guys on screen and off, there’s one man who she said got away.

“‘Raiders of the Lost Ark’ was a big thing for me. When I was nine, in my mind, I was kissing Harrison Ford and he was an amazing kisser. I was going to marry him. It’s not a secret today,” she said. “He knows. He’s taken, so what can I do?”
