Camille Cosby Releases Statement Defending Husband Bill Cosby

Bill Cosby’s wife, Camille Cosby, is speaking out in defense of her husband.

On Monday, Camille Cosby released a statement to Access Holywood, standing up for her husband.

“The man I met and fell in love with, and whom I continue to love, is the man you all knew through his work,” Camille Cosby wrote in her statement, of her husband, whom she wed in 1964.

Like Bill Cosby’s lawyer, Marty Singer, Camille Cosby too put blame on the media, suggesting that some media have “given a pass” to “individuals and organizations” making allegations against her husband.

“A different man has been portrayed in the media over the last two months. It is the portrait of a man I do not know,” she wrote in her statement, adding that “there appears to be no vetting of my husband’s accusers before stores are published or aired.”

She concluded her statement by posing a question.

“None of us will ever want to be in the position of attacking a victim. But the question should be asked – who is the victim,” her statement concluded.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, comedian Bill Cosby has been accused by many women of having drugged and sexually assaulted them in the past. Singer has released a number of statements in support of his client, including one in late November where he put blame on the media, following more allegations against Bill Cosby.

“This situation is an unprecedented example of the media’s breakneck rush to run stories without any corroboration or adherence to traditional journalistic standards. Over and over again, we have refuted these new unsubstantiated stories with documentary evidence, only to have a new uncorroborated story crop up out of the woodwork. When will it end?

“It is long past time for this media vilification of Mr. Cosby to stop,” his statement concluded.

The comedian has never been charged in connection with any sexual assault allegations.
