Carey Hart Says He And Wife Pink Will Be Overprotective Parents: ‘I Feel Sorry If We Have A Girl’

Carey Hart is preparing for the impending birth of his and wife Pink’s first child, and the Motocross pro racer says he may be a tad bit overprotective.

“I feel sorry if we have a girl because that whole analogy of the dad on the couch with the shotgun, well, I’m pretty heavily tattooed,” Carey told People, at an autograph signing in Las Vegas on Friday. “I’m pretty intimidating looking so I feel sorry for a little girl trying to bring boys home.

“Between my very headstrong wife and myself, I feel sorry if we have a girl,” he added.

Pink may be “headstrong,” but Carey said she’s going to be an “awesome” mother.

“She’s just so connected and so ready to be a mother,” he told the mag, of his Grammy Award-winning other half. “Our kid is going to have a great experience. He or she is going to travel the world with us … [and] I think we’ll have a pretty well-rounded kid.”

, Pink believes her husband will make an excellent father.

“[Carey] is so excited,” Pink told Access Hollywood’s Billy Bush in a November 2010 interview. “He’s wanted to be a dad since – I mean, we’ve been together nine years on and off, and he brought it up two weeks after we met. So, he’s wonderful.

“He’s going to be a really, really cute daddy,” she added.
