Carol Burnett To Play Sue Sylvester’s Mom On ‘Glee’

“Glee” fans will finally find out who brought Sue Sylvester into the world! Comedy icon Carol Burnett will play Sue’s mom in an upcoming episode of the FOX comedy, Access Hollywood has confirmed.

According to Entertainment Weekly’s Michael Ausiello – who first reported the news – Carol’s episode will air in October or November.

In an episode last season, Sue (played by Emmy nominee Jane Lynch), referred to her parents as Nazi hunters. EW reported that Sue’s father wouldn’t be making an appearance alongside Carol.

In more “Glee” news, for the upcoming Britney Spears-themed episode Matthew Morrison, (Will Schuester) will shave his head as homage to the pop star’s infamous 2007 hair clipping incident, JustJared.com reported.

“The recreating of Brit shaving her head is going to be epic!” a source told JustJared.

Earlier this week at the FOX TCA press tour, series creator Ryan Murphy told reporters, “We’re paying tribute to [Britney] in a sort of fun and unexpected way.”

Why do we get the feeling this isn’t what Britney’s team had in mind when they brought up the die of an all-Britney episode?
