Dethroned beauty queen Carrie Prejean threatened to leave in the middle of an interview on “Larry King Live” on Wednesday night after she accused the talk show legend of being “inappropriate.”
Carrie’s interviewed turned tense when Larry asked about her recent settlement with the Miss California USA pageant after an alleged solo sex tape of her surfaced.
“Why settle when you had a fight to carry on?” Larry asked Carrie.
“You know what Larry?… Everything that was discussed in mediation is completely confidential…I’m not gonna be able to talk about that and you knew that ahead of time.”
“You can’t even say why you settled?” Larry pressed, hoping to get a response from the former pageant winner.
“Larry, you’re being inappropriate…you really are. So, I’m not going to talk about anything that was discussed in mediation,” she said.
Carrie then looked off camera a few times while Larry attempted to continue with his line of questioning.
“Larry, it’s completely confidential and you’re being inappropriate,” Carrie reiterated.
“Inappropriate King Live continues,” Larry quipped as he took a call from a viewer.
Carrie then continued to speak to someone off camera and took off her microphone.
“I think that you’re being extremely inappropriate right now and I’m about to leave your show,” she told Larry acting as though she was about to leave the set, but remained seated.
Larry then took a commercial break and when he returned the former beauty queen was back with a microphone. Carrie then explained that she did not want to take phone calls from viewers and the interview was only intended to be between her and Larry. She then continued on with the rest of the interview.
When contacted by Access Hollywood, a rep for “Larry King Live” said the show never agreed to Carrie’s demands prior to the interview.
“We don’t take ground rules of any kind,” the rep told Access. “And, [we] did not agree to not do viewer calls.”
