Move over Davids. Carrie Underwood is heading to the “American Idol” season finale.

Underwood was announced a special performer for the final “Idol” show this season on Wednesday May 21.

The star, who just won Top Female Vocalist at the Academy of Country Music Awards on Sunday night in Las Vegas, will perform her hit, “Last Name.”

She confirmed her “Idol” appearance to Access Hollywood at the ACM Awards.

Underwood will take a break from her “Carnival Ride Tour,” for the “Idol” performance.

As previously reported on AccessHollywood.com, teenager David Archuleta and rocker David Cook will battle it out for the “American Idol” Season 7 title at Los Angeles’ Nokia Theatre on Tuesday. The winner will be crowned Wednesday.
