Casting Call: ‘24’ Alum Chris Diamantopolous To Play Moe In ‘Three Stooges’?

The clock is ticking on finalizing the cast for the upcoming “Three Stooges” movie, and a former “24” star may be set as the new Moe.

Chris Diamantopoulos is reportedly being considered the new favorite to play the third and final “Stooge,” according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Diamantopoulos – who played White House Chief of Staff Rob Weiss in the Kiefer Sutherland FOX series – would join Sean Hayes and Will Sasso, who have been tapped as Larry and Curly, respectively, in the Farrelly brothers’ reboot.

Rehearsals are reportedly set to begin as early as next week, so the deadline is looming to get the film’s Moe in place.

Diamantopoulos’ other notable TV credits include “The Starter Wife” and “Eli Stone,” as well as playing Frank Sinatra in Reelz Channel’s new “The Kennedys” miniseries.

His most recent film credit is the 2006 comedy “Wedding Daze,” starring Jason Biggs and Isla Fisher.
