Casting Call: Brad Pitt Becomes ‘Trade’ Bait

Brad Pitt is getting ready to take on the mob.

The big screen superstar is in talks to star in the mob heist comedy “Cogan’s Trade,” according to Variety.

The film follows a ruthless mob enforcer (which would be Pitt as title character Jackie Cogan) who springs into action when someone robs a high-stakes underground card game.

Casey Affleck has also been rumored to be in negotiations to join the cast.

If Brad jumps into the mix, the project would reunite him with his “The Assassination of Jesse James” writer/director Andrew Dominik, who is helming “Cogan’s Trade.”

Production on the film is slated to begin in January 2011.

Brad’s latest film, the animated “Megamind,” hits theaters on Friday.
