Casting Call: Justin Timberlake Ready For ‘Road’ Trip

Justin Timberlake is ready to hit the “Road.” Hilary Swank takes to the
skies. Plus, Uma Thurman dusts off her beret for a trip to “Paris.”
It’s all in the latest edition of the Access Hollywood Casting Call!

Justin Timberlake will star in the drama “The Open Road,” according to Entertainment Weekly.

Written and directed by Michael Meredith, JT will play a young man trying to reconnect with his father (played by Jeff Bridges) with his ailing mother (Mary Steenburgen).

“The Open Road” also stars Kate Mara (“Brokeback Mountain,” “We Are Marshall”) as Timberlake’s girlfriend.

Production is slated to begin this month in Louisiana.

Timberlake will next be seen on the big screen opposite Jessica Alba, Mike Myers and Ben Kingsley in “The Love Guru.”

Hilary Swank is ready to spread her wings as legendary aviator Amelia Earhart in the biopic “Amelia,” Variety reports.

Swank will portray Earhart in the latter stages of her career when she was approached to attempt a daring flight across the Atlantic Ocean.

Producers are hoping to get the project off the ground in April.

Swank most recently starred in the romantic comedy “P.S. I Love You.”

Uma Thurman has signed on to star in “Eloise in Paris,” based on the children’s novel series, according to Variety.

Thurman will play Nanny, caretaker of the precocious title character who was the central figure in the children’s series written by Kay Thompson.

Shooting is scheduled to being in June in Paris, London and New York.

Thurman recently wrapped production on “The Accidental Husband,” a romantic comedy starring Colin Firth.
