Casting Call: K-Fed Excused From ‘Nightwatch’ Duty?

James Gandolfini hits the hardwood. “SNL” alums meet “Harold.” Plus, did K-Fed lose his “Nightwatch” gig? It’s all in today’s Access Hollywood Casting Call…

It’s a case of he said, they said for K-Fed.

Kevin Federline has been excused from his gig opposite Keanu Reeves in “The Night Watchman,” according to a story in the New York Daily News.

While the significance of K-Fed’s role seems to be in questions, no matter how big or small his role was, it no longer exists.

A source reportedly told the Daily News Kevin found out his services were no longer needed when he arrived on set for a wardrobe call.

However, when the Daily News contacted Fox Searchlight, a rep for the studio said Kevin was never cast in the film to begin with.

“The Night Watchman” follows a veteran LAPD cop (Reeves) who finds life difficult to navigate after the death of his wife. When evidence implicates him in the execution of a fellow officer, he is forced to go up against the cop culture he’s been a part of his entire career, ultimately leading him to question the loyalties of everyone around him.
The crime thriller also stars Chris Evans, Hugh Laurie and Forest Whitaker.

James Gandolfini is trading in his days of managing organized crime and lacing up his high tops.

The former “Sopranos” star has signed on to play real-life corporate sports scout Sonny Vaccaro in the HBO film “ABCD Camp,” per the Associated Press.

The drama chronicles the youth basketball camp established by Vaccaro, who is also known as the man who got Michael Jordan to sign the first million-dollar sneaker deal with Nike.

Gandolfini’s film credits include “Surviving Christmas,” “Get Shorty” and “True Romance.”

“Saturday Night Live” alums Chris Parnell and Rachel Dratch are joining Nikki Blonsky in the teen comedy “Harold,” per The Hollywood Reporter.

Starring Cuba Gooding Jr. and Spencer Breslin, the film follows a teenager named Harold with an early onset of male-pattern baldness (Breslin) who befriends his high school’s janitor (Gooding).

Parnell plays the high school gym coach who mercilessly torments the title character, and Dratch plays the teacher who forces him to remove his hat, exposing his shameful secret to the world.

Blonsky will play Rhoda, Harold’s nerdy best friend. Sheedy (“The Breakfast Club”) will play his mother Maureen and Quinn will play a drunk who is a regular at Harold’s favorite strip club.

Filming is already underway in Blonsky’s hometown of Great Neck, New York.
