CBS Gives Full Season Orders To Vegas, Elementary

It turns out, “Vegas” is indeed lucky. On Tuesday, CBS gave the drama, starring Dennis Quaid and Michael Chiklis, a full season order.

Reacting on Twitter to the news, Chiklis, who plays mob boss Vincent Savino in the 1960s set series, wrote, “Vegas baby! Yes”

Jason O’Mara, who plays Deputy Jack Lamb (to Quaid’s Sheriff Ralph Lamb) was also excited about the news.

“Vegas picked up for a FULL SEASON of 22 Episodes! Here’s DQ celebrating by playing Rock&Roll on a Hammond B3 organ!,” he Tweeted, linking to a photo of Quaid on the set. Click HERE to see the photo.

Jonny Lee Miller and Lucy Liu’s new take on Sherlock Holmes – “Elementary” – was also picked up for the full season.

“’Vegas’ and ‘Elementary’ have opened strong, delivering big audiences and winning performances in important time periods,” Nina Tassler, President, CBS Entertainment, said in a statement. “Each of the shows has rich characters, big stars and a unique visual style that have stood out in the crowd, helping make two of our strongest nights even stronger.”

“Vegas” airs Tuesdays at 10/9c on CBS, while “Elementary” is on Thursdays at 10/9c.
