Cee Lo Reveals His Recording Of ‘Forget You’ With Gwyneth Paltrow Will Be Released

Cee Lo Green said he expects the newest version of his song, “Forget You,” featuring Gwyneth Paltrow, will be released for the fans.

The Grammy nominee and the Oscar winner hit the studio together recently to lay down the censored version of his smash hit “F*** You,” and the Atlanta-bred artist said their duet will be coming out, he just doesn’t know the exact details yet of how.

“We went to the studio in New York and we did our own specialized version of ‘Forget You’ together and I’m not sure how they’re gonna release [it], but it’s probably another cool little treat for people to have and enjoy,” Cee Lo told Access Hollywood Live’s Billy Bush and Kit Hoover on Tuesday’s show.

“We’ve been doing so great together,” Cee Lo continued, referencing their continual meet-ups, including last week’s “Saturday Night Live.” “I mean, we’re everywhere together right now, so they may just release it in conjunction with everything else that we’re doing.”

Cee Lo said hanging with the actress was a blast, and he was impressed at how well versed she was regarding his career.

“I just really got a chance to see her be the consummate professional. She’s very kind to me, very sweet, very well read about my history and my career and accomplishments and all of that, and, of course, the feeling was mutual,” he said. “She came in, she knocked her part out very easily, very successful. I was impressed.”

Beyond gushing about Gwynie, Cee Lo gave Billy and Kit some more “F** You” news – the song was not inspired by a particular gold digging lady.

“The song was not a biographical at all,” Cee Lo said of the song he penned with Bruno Mars, and which is up for the Record of the Year Award at the Grammys.

”[Bruno’s] a great guy, not only talented but very funny. We ended up having a lot of [our sense] of humor in common and that song in particular, that’s a product of our working environment,” Cee Lo continued. “We were just kind of being ridiculous. We weren’t taking ourselves to seriously, but we were taking each other seriously.”
