Celebrities React To Orlando Nightclub Shooting

Celebrities are reacting to the horrific nightclub shooting that took place early Sunday morning in Orlando.

With at least 50 killed, and at least 50 injured, according to NBC News, it is the most deadly mass shooting in United States history. President Obama addressed the tragedy in a live press conference on Sunday, and said the FBI is investigating it as an act of terror. 

NBC News reported on Sunday that the alleged gunman has been identified as Omar Mateen, a 29-year-old security guard and Florida resident who appeared to be a follower of ISIS teachings.

“I’m heartbroken by this tragedy. Praying for Orlando and the suffering created by this senseless violence,” Reese Witherspoon tweeted.

“#morelovelesshate my heart goes out to everyone affected by the horrific tragedy in Orlando,” Jessica Alba shared on Instagram.

“so. much. violence. it hurts my heart. sending as much Light and love as I possibly can to anyone and everyone I can possibly reach,” Ariana Grande tweeted.

Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda simply shared a rainbow heart picture with the word “Orlando” beneath it.

“This morning my heart is broken. Praying for Orlando, for humanity… For peace,” Ariel Winter wrote on Instagram.
