Celebrity Pockets… Full of Love

LOS ANGELES, Calif. (September 20, 2006) — Hollywood stars like Heidi Klum, Kate Bosworth and Julianne Moore decorated jean pockets to be auctioned off to benefit the Women’s Cancer Programs of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF).Check out some of the designs by clicking on the gallery (to the right).

The custom-designed pockets will be auctioned on www.charityfolks.com beginning September 18 through Lee National Denim Day, which will be held October 6. Funds will be used to support a groundbreaking scientific project to detect breast cancer in its earliest stage. They will also help accelerate treatment research and increase patient access to some of the most significant clinical trials in the nation, as well as continue to support grassroots programs across the country.

Through Lee National Denim Day (October 6), participants are encouraged to wear their jeans to work in exchange for a $5 donation. The fundraiser, which enters its second decade this year, has raised more than $61 million for the fight against breast cancer since its inception. Last year alone more than over 29,000 companies from across the nation participated in the cause.
