Celebs Reveal Mother’s Day Plans

(May 12, 2006) — Now that Mother’s Day is bearing down on us all, moms everywhere are feeling the love as Access’ “Stars of the Week.”

“My goal is to grow up and be like my mother,” Beyonce told us. “And I will love for my daughter to feel about me the way I feel about my mom because I respect and love her so much. And I’m trying not to cry, but it’s a beautiful thing that she still is my best friend.”

“She’s the woman I mean who I idolize, you know,” Eva Longoria explained. “

“She’s always given me great advice, and she’s always packed a lunch for me,” Ryan Seacrest laughed.

Sunday is Mother’s Day and stars all over show some love to the women who gave them life.

“What are you guys doing for Mother’s Day?” Shaun Robinson asked Lindsay Lohan at the “Just My Luck” premiere.

“Umm, we’re not sure yet,” Lindsay said. “But I think just a nice spa day.”

“We have a tradition in my family of going to the horse races, so, we will be doing that again with a big group of moms,” Teri Hatcher told us.

We caught up with Josh Lucas and Kurt Russell at the premiere of “Poseidon” to find out what they have planned.

“I’m gonna fly my mom to join me on one of these little press things for a couple of days,” Josh said.

“I’ll get the flowers and the candy, I got that covered, and I’ll get breakfast,” Kurt explained. “I mean, I’ll figure that out.”

As for soon-to-be husband, Tom Cruise, we found out that he showed his appreciation for new mom, Katie, with an early Mother’s Day gift from Paris.

Katie proudly wore her $3,000 Cartier “Love Bracelet” from Tom at the Hollywood premiere of “Mission: Impossible: III.”

But perhaps the best way to show Mom your appreciation is to tell her.

“I would thank her for keeping me humble and keeping me inspired because I know a lot of the reason that I am how I am, and I work so hard and all the things I do is because I grew up seeing that in my mother,” Beyonce said.

In other Hollywood Mother’s Day news, the Soulmate diamond pendant online auction begins on Mother?s Day, Sunday May 14, at charityfolks.com.

Celebrities such as Nicole Kidman, Jennie Garth, Cheryl Hines, Rachel Ray, and many more will auction off the complementary halves of their very own Soulmate diamond pendants. Each Soulmate pendant has two inter-locking pieces, each piece with its own diamond. The 2 stones are cut from the same rough diamond, so they share an eternal connection – a connection that auction winners will share with their celebrities of choice.

All proceeds will benefit the Children?s Defense Fund, whose mission is to ensure every child a Healthy Start, a Head Start, a Fair Start, a Safe Start, and a Moral Start in life and successful passage to adulthood with the help of caring families and communities.
