Ch-Ch-Ch-Changes: ‘Glee’s’ Sue Sylvester To Take On David Bowie

Is there “Life on Mars”? Sue Sylvester is about to find out as she gets in touch with her inner David Bowie on “Glee.”

“I’m dressing up as David Bowie today,” Jane Lynch revealed on Wednesday’s Access Hollywood Live of her upcoming shoot for the hit FOX show.

Jane revealed her Cheerios coach character would be donning one of the many looks of the Thin White Duke at McKinley High.

“Sue Sylvester is going incognito as David Bowie today,” Jane said. “I mean, come on. Who gets this kind of stuff?”

The actress did not reveal which of the British rock star chameleon’s many looks she will recreate, but credited series co-creator and showrunner Ryan Murphy for giving her grand opportunities time and time again.

“Ryan Murphy is the evil scientist that is creating all of this and I just love him for it,” the Emmy winner said. “I get handed something every week that’s just insane and hilarious.”

She also credited “Glee” co-writer Ian Brennan for Sue’s unique dialogue.

“He writes almost everything that comes out of my mouth, and it’s kind of his inner mean girl,” she said.

While “Glee” is getting close to its Season 2 finale, which will likely air in the coming weeks (FOX has not yet released a date), Jane said she has hopes a few bold women will one day make appearances on the show.

“I’d love to have somebody like Tyne Daly, some real kind of Broadway broad doing the 11 o’clock number… Megan Mullally, some real kind of brassy broad to do like bosom buddies with,” Jane said.
