Channing Tatum’s ‘Step Up’-Inspired Diaper Changing Trick

When it comes to taking care of his daughter, Channing Tatum uses on of his best assets – his dance moves!

The 34-year-old dad told Redbook that he and wife Jenna Dewan-Tatum have no problem “Stepping Up” to challenge of diaper duty for daughter Everly, 1.

“Dance battles do sort of happen, to be honest. When we wake up in the morning we put on music, and while Everly’s eating we dance and it just starts to get stupid. Changing the baby is an intermission,” the actor, who met his wife while starring in 2006’s “Step Up,” explained.

“Our daughter hates getting her diaper changed, so it’s almost like a break-dancing battle to get it on her,” he said of his daughter. “As soon as you lay her down, she’s bridging out of it and doing some jujitsu windmill. It’s pretty intense.”

So which superstar parent does Everly take after?

“She has moments of both, but right now I’d say she’s like me. I can’t sit still and pretty much run into everything at full speed,” he told the mag.

Channing told the mag that he and Jenna can see the origin of their strong relationship when they re-watch the dance movie.

“We were basically together on the movie. It’s interesting now, because we can watch it and see, we can go, ‘Oh, wow, that was actually our real first kiss.’ As soon as the movie wrapped, we went back to LA and were together, and together ever since – never broken up. That’s nine years,” he said.

The “Magic Mike XXL” star and Jenna, 33, got married in 2009.
