Charlie Sheen seemed to confirm the reports that the missing item that sent him into a frenzy in New York City on Tuesday at the Plaza Hotel was an expensive watch.
On Thursday, paparazzi captured the actor in Los Angeles where he was filming a cameo – as himself – for an upcoming big screen comedy and asked him about the reported missing watch.
“Where’s the watch at?” the paparazzi asked Charlie on Thursday.
“If I knew, I’d be wearing it,” he said.
On Thursday, TMZ reported that Sheen allegedly was sent into a frenzy when he couldn’t find one of his pricey watches while he was spending time with porn star Capri Anderson. The website alleged he grew upset over the missing watch, believing she stole it. Anderson reportedly told friends she did not steal the watch, the website reported.
Sheen told the paparazzi that his missing watch was a Patek.
Patek Philippe watches are costly items, running into the hundreds of thousands. Sources told TMZ Sheen was wearing a Patek Philippe 5970, worth $150,000. It is a watch that is reportedly very sought-after by collectors.
“Charlie – what happened?” one reporter asked. “What kind of watch was it?”
“A nice one,” the actor replied. “A nice one.”
According to Brooke Mueller’s pre-nuptial agreement papers, previously published by Gawker, Sheen has a watch collection totaling around $5.6 million.
