Charlize Theron and Sean Penn have reportedly called off their engagement.
According to Us Weekly, the Oscar-winning couple split after almost a year-and-a-half together.
The 39-year-old “Mad Max: Fury Road” star was the one to end the relationship, reportedly deciding it was over following their trip to the Cannes Film Festival in May.

Charlize and Sean, who were friends for decades before their romance blossomed, reportedly got engaged in 2014 during a trip to Paris.
This would have been Charlize’s first trip down the aisle. Sean was previously married to Madonna from 1985 – 1989 and then to Robin Wright from 1996 – 2010.

Just recently, the actress referred to Sean as “the love of my life” when speaking with Elle UK’s June 2015 issue.
