Chaz Bono is in need of a new “Dancing” partner in life.
Chaz and fiancee Jennifer Elia have “called off their engagement and are no longer a couple,” a rep for Chaz has confirmed to Access Hollywood.
“They leave this relationship with great love, respect and affection towards one another,” publicist Howard Bragman said in a statement released to Access. “No further amplification will be forthcoming and they ask that you respect their privacy at this time.”
Following the news, Chaz – who finished in seventh place with partner Lacey Schwimmer on the recent season of “Dancing with the Stars” – posted a message on his Twitter page about the split.
“Thanks for your concern about our separation. I’m doing fine, and we remain on good terms with nothing but respect and affection 4 eachother,” Chaz Tweeted.
Chaz and Jennifer had been dating since 1999.
His proposal to his longtime love – who he was with during his gender reassignment from woman to man – was captured by the cameras for the recent OWN network special “Being Chaz.”
