Chelsea Handler Aims For A Kanye / Taylor Reunion At VMAs

Will there be a Taylor Swift / Kanye West reunion at this year’s MTV Video Music Awards? If host Chelsea Handler gets her way, the country cutie may finally get a chance to “finish” after last year’s infamous mic-grabbing incident.

“Everyone loves Taylor Swift, and, you know, Kanye’s… Kanye,” Chelsea told Ryan Seacrest, on his KIIS-FM radio show this past week.

“I’d like to get them together, because we’ve never really seen them together since then… We’ll try to think of something clever to do with them because that would be really fun.”

As previously reported on , Kanye has been confirmed to perform on the show, and Chelsea thinks the hip hop star would be up for a reunion of some sort.

“He seems like he’d be in on the fun,” she said. “I’m pretty excited because it’s such a big hip hop and rap year, and I just love having those guys on my show [E!‘s ‘Chelsea Lately’]. They have the best senses of humor anyway.”

When asked if she’s nervous about hosting the live show, the tough-talking comedienne said she’s in good hands.

“MTV is great– you can get away with stuff and they can bleep stuff,” she laughed. “If something slips out, then that slips out, and I just act like I didn’t know I said that.”

The 2010 MTV Video Music Awards will air live from Los Angeles on September 12 at 9 PM.
