Chicago Fire Stars Talk Rumored Spinoff: ‘There’s Something In The Works’

Fans of “Chicago Fire” could be seeing even more drama from the Windy City with a spinoff rumored to be in the works.

AccessHollywood.com’s Laura Saltman caught up with “Fire” stars Taylor Kinney and Jesse Spencer, who revealed that more Chicago action could be making its way to the small screen.

“I’ve heard things, but it’s a little premature to say. We don’t know too much about it,” Taylor told Laura, who asked about the rumored spinoff centered around the Chicago Police Department.

“But there’s something in the works,” the actor, who plays fire lieutenant Kelly Severide on the NBC series, continued. “That’s about as much I as I know.”

Jesse Spencer, who plays Lieutenant Matthew Casey, was very coy about the rumors, but hinted (sarcastically) that he may have even already shot something for it.

“I haven’t heard anything of what you’re talking about, or shot anything to do with it… I have no idea what you’re talking about,” he teased.

Adding with a smile, “But that would be a good idea.”

“Chicago Fire” airs Wednesdays at 10/9c on NBC.
